Regardless that Wyoming is known for its picturesque scenic views, its human population remains the smallest in the United States and, consequently, the state’s post high school education system is also small and fundamental. The University of Wyoming, which often enrolls more than 10,000 undergrads, happens to be the state’s only public university. The remainder of the public college structure is comprised of seven (7) community colleges. The handful of non-public educational institutions in Wyoming are for-profit. The University of Phoenix, which has a physical campus in Wyoming, is an example of a web based college located in Wyoming, and quite a few of the non-private colleges offer online programs as well.
